The Sage Steward Farm Campus

The Art and Wilderness Institute operates out of the beautiful Sage Steward Farm campus. In addition to farmland, this 770 acre property hosts multiple ecosystems such as woodland, wetland, and grassland, and is the locus of ongoing land stewardship projects, community events, and outdoor education in partnership with AWI.

UPCOMING RETREATS with ART AND WILDERNESS PROGRAMMING

Girls’ Leadership Retreat

Join us for a transformative weekend designed to cultivate confident, compassionate, and capable young women. Set on the beautiful Sage Steward Farm along California’s coast, Forging Leaders blends outdoor adventure, regenerative agriculture, and leadership development into an unforgettable experience.

Throughout the weekend, participants will enjoy fresh farm-to-table meals, contribute to meaningful land stewardship projects, and learn practical skills while caring for the farm and its ecosystems. Leadership workshops, team challenges, and guided reflections will equip girls with the confidence to lead with integrity, resilience, and service. Every participant will have opportunities to step into leadership roles, collaborate with peers, solve real-world challenges, and strengthen their connection to Allah through time in nature.

Come build lifelong friendships, discover your strengths, serve the land, and leave inspired to become a leader in your family, community, and the world.

Our kids always say they had the best day ever after spending time with us, and we would love nothing more than to offer this experience to your school!
