JUNIOR MENTORSHIP/MENTORSHIP

The Natural Journey to Leadership

Junior Mentorship is an intensive leadership programs for ages 5 to 7, designed to engage the student on a captivating adventure (in the field, in the arts, culinary arts, or land stewardship). The extreme fun of this program creates the inherent and natural desire to continue the assignments and learning independently. The relationship between mentor and the mentee is ongoing, inside and outside of class, while cultivating a love for the environment and the community. Junior Mentorship is where connections and lifelong friends are made. It’s where magic happens and where a deep transformation occurs. It’s where goals are not only set, but accomplished. It’s where a true and deep connection to the environment and each other happens!

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Parents must be willing to drive to Sage Steward Farm and the surrounding Bay Area. Locations change frequently.
  • Junior Mentorship is once a month for ages 5 to 7

ANIMAL AND SOIL FIELD STUDIES

Children connecting with animals, plants, and the Earth

Imagine a child as comfortable with soil as with technology, recognizing plants not through screens but through the tales told by leaves and roots.

Beyond conventional education, our programming offers a tactile journey where children learn the value of biodiversity, organic farming, and the roles within an ecosystem. They come to appreciate the sun, conserve water, and cherish the act of planting seeds that yield nourishment.
