Join AWI for our first ever Hike-a-Thon!  Join us for a day out in nature.  This is a wonderful opportunity to grab your friends and family and connect with other nature enthusiasts, while supporting the mission of AWI.

How does it work?

$30 early-bird participation pricing  (ends March 30) (If you are a student or staff and will be raising donations, it is free to hike with us that day. Just register!)  

$45 Partcipation Fee (After March 30)

Follow these EASY steps:
1. Register
2.Pay the registration fee (unless you are a student and are raising donations)
3. If you are raising donations, you will be getting an email from 99pledges to create your profile which will create your custom donation link.

All HIKING LEVELS WANTED! Children & Elderly Friendly

Choose your path! Easy to Difficult. 1 mile to 10 miles. Best of all, come join the community outdoors and be with like-minded people who love spending time outdoors.

Why We’re Hiking

We are hiking to support the work of Art & Wilderness Institute (AWI). Our outdoor based education and community programs extend beyond our own organization, through meaningful collaborations with local and national partners who are deeply invested in reconnecting people with the land and making nature more accessible to all, so that everyone can connect with  nature and have a healthy relationship with the natural world.  

The funds raised through this event directly support our programs, instructors, materials, scholarships, and outreach efforts. Every contribution, big or small, helps us to continue the work we do, nurture a deeper understanding of the environment,  and inspire a lifelong love of nature in people of all ages and backgrounds.

 

What Makes This Hike-a-Thon Different

This Hike-a-thon is different from others, because in addition to hiking there will opportunities for participants to engage in hands on activities that assist in learnning about the land around us.  Along the trail education stations will be available that are inspired by our hiking location. 

The Hike-a-Thon reflects our commitment to:

  • Learning through experience in natural spaces
  • Environmental ethics and stewardship
  • Building community across ages and backgrounds
