WHAT TO EXPECT:
Parking at this site is $15 for the whole day. Plan on spending the whole day there. Picnic there, enjoy your time there. Make the day out of it!
If you take a stroller with you, will have to ditch it when you get to the sand portion.
This is a 3 mile quest. Most of it is along the sand. Besides a small steep walkway leading down to the ocean, everything is fairly flat.
PLAN that you arrive at least an hour or hour and a half BEFORE LOW TIDE.
When walking in the TIDEPOOLS, be sure to not step on algae as it tends to be very slippery. DO NOT RUN in the tidepools. Its almost impossible not to slip and fall on a rock if you are running. Be careful not to step on any animals or walk directly through the water portion of the tidepools where very sensitive animals live. These animals are very fragile. Please follow all State Park rules. As tempting as it is to pick up and collect rocks and shells, please do not do it.
